Italy - Liguria
Triora became famous for the acts of witchcraft occurred in the Middle Ages, is not only a place of ancient sorcery, but a very nice and welcoming valley suitable for many activities, including climbing outside, such as biking, hiking and beautiful eating and drinking with friends ..

The theme of "witches" is invoked everywhere in the atmosphere in this town, but not only that. The rocks Triora, fortunately for us, have been generous, releasing blocks in the years that have rolled down the valley, thus creating a suitable area for bouldering, then set aside garlic and amulets, equip yourself with a crash-pad and buckle Climbing shoes because Triora offers us an excellent limestone is very compact.

Thanks for a job cleaning and patrolling by many friends, like Bob, Stephen, Stella, the local David, etc.. were prepared about 280 steps of all the difficulties, from the more easy than 2 °, 3 °, 4 °, the hardest, with different styles; strapiomboni, bellies, plac
so that ... for now valued up 8th + (for lovers of high intensity). Are still a few more projects to be released.
The blocks are many and of varying heights from 2 to 10 meters, you can try with some rope.
The whole area is developed under the ledges above, starting near the bridge became famous for daring bungee jump (and unfortunately some without), along the river and up the valley.
The type of rock is limestone, however, after several years of rainfall and water level elevations, usually limestone, which is different from all of us are accustomed to imagine. This is a very delicate type of rock and through the centuries the power of 'the water' has molded at will to transform it into "boards" of various colors smooth.
The type of climbing is waaay to "feel", is an excellent school to improve the sensitivity of the fingers and especially toes. For this the first time that you venture, the prices may seem a bit '"mad", but it's only because you have to get used to this different style and above all do not set themselves goals on the first day of climbing.
Some steps (thankfully few) about a dozen, "change" from year to year. Because of winter flooding river carries the new stones, stopping in some blocks that raise their bases making them almost impassable. Similarly, sometimes raised, giving free access to water, which takes possession of new spaces to create additional ponds. Rarely, settles over logs "tons" become part of everything and thankfully, only once, it is also allowed to ribaltarci even an entire rock ...

You can climb all year round, but it is recommended that the period from spring to autumn, on a hot day you can relax in the bath near the blocks. In summer, the entire area after 3 goes down from the mountains in the shade and cool tune, ideal for addressing steps that require careful climbing sensation.
The winter, however, remains for the brave, however, considered that the water level is definitely higher and can sometimes be impossible to cross the river to hence blocks sites from the other side. If it is very cold ice-conscious, also the shadow arrives almost immediately from 11 am onwards.
Throughout the rest of the year Triora is a great place to spend time with friends and family, that even if you do not share the same interests for the climbing world can not help but appreciate the peace and harmony
This oasis immersed in a "distant" valley twenty miles from the sea. In addition there are interesting museums and the chance to enjoy many other outdoor sports.

Access Area:
Arrived at the village of Triora turn left down a slope, (follow the "climbing") to arrive at the bridge of the bungee-jumping, turn right to the only restaurant (which we recommend at the end of the day), followed by a minute a short stretch of road that goes up the river and along the rocks.
Leave your car at the big dirt parking lot on the left front of an obvious wooden sign that says "climbing center", from there if it sticks, you can see from the entire block area that follows the river with waterfalls and clear lakes.
It extends for a length of almost 1 km, and for a better understanding on the map, the entire site has been divided to 6 parts.
50 meters after the car park, down to the left of obvious scalinoni concrete with a fixed rope (which we sometimes steal) and continue for the short scree. Once at the bottom meets the highest part of the area, composed of many steps all distributed between the river and the stone.
If you want to scale at the bottom instead of the parking lot to walk back on the road for 400 meters. and get right on a clear path leading to the river. The different sectors are still connected by paths. (See map).
All problems are entirely natural, no power has been dug or artificially modified. Generally, the base can be found sand and stones, some have water: essential crash-pad, and also a companion to help in the event of a fall.
