Individual sport

Often I hear that climbing is an individual sport.

I do not think so.

Actually I think it's a team game mainly based on mutual trust and motivation of everyone, without exception.

Why no "other" we incite, parry, often we would not have within us the security to launch in "socket that last," that tired look away and sometimes "impossible" to achieve, maybe a little 'scared for the height , on top of a hard block.

And without the "other" many rocks were never discovered, cleaned, and then spiked with new lines to be tested for each of us. Many work in their own way because all this will become ever stronger.

This is a beautiful side of bouldering and climbing in general, we observe that sometimes, we miss that there are many people who have never met, known or heard of, who are dedicated to constantly grueling job of cleaning, preparing rocks for all, bolting routes, preparing boulders, for simple and pure passion.

It is not "magic" this?

In a society that is now brought to indifference, detachment of things, sometimes including life itself, I find that our "little" reality of the climb still remains distant and wonderful, unites us all climbers in the world, makes us into something unique, a great community, because wherever we are going to climb, even as far as possible, when we meet other climbers will discover friends.
